Britain's leader plans to press allies to deliver Ukrainian forces with further long-range missiles to target Russian targets during discussions in Britain on this Friday.

The prime minister is set to welcome Ukraine's leader Zelensky alongside what's known as "coalition of the willing", including over twenty of Ukraine's allies who have agreed to provide Ukraine defense assurances once hostilities pause is negotiated.

Ukraine's president has been pleading for weeks for more extended-range systems from allied countries, an action that Moscow has warned would escalate the conflict.

President Zelensky is travelling from Brussels, where he conferred with European Union officials on Thursday pursuing financial support.

"The sole individual involved in the ongoing war who declines to halt the war is Vladimir Putin," Starmer stated.

The Prime Minister furthermore declare that 100 additional anti-aircraft missiles will be supplied to Ukraine ahead of schedule, as outlined in a multi-billion pound agreement concluded between the United Kingdom and Kyiv in last spring.

Diplomatic Momentum

The Ukrainian president travels off the back of two diplomatic wins recently: Donald Trump's decision to implement additional restrictions against Russia, and the European Union agreeing to finance Kyiv's budgetary shortfall.

Britain's leader is seeking to maintain the momentum by increasing the leverage on Russia to pursue an end to the war.

The Prime Minister will urge participants to increase the supply of long-range weapons following an effective operation on an industrial facility in Bryansk, Russia, using UK-provided missile systems.

"And his brutal attacks on young children in a daycare in recent days show that crystal clear," he added.

Two children were part of no fewer than seven killed in a wave of Russian strikes on Ukrainian territory, which hit a daycare center in the second biggest city Kharkiv.

Financial Discussions

The Prime Minister will consult Western allies on how to withdraw Russia's petroleum resources off the global market.

They will furthermore consider using blocked Russian resources to offer Ukraine with economic assistance, while the proposal faced insufficient agreement and jurisdictional challenges at the EU conference on the previous day.

European Union stopped short of consenting to a proposal to use up to €140bn in blocked Moscow funds to monetarily assist Ukraine.

However, the leaders decided to contribute to Ukraine's "budgetary necessities" for the upcoming biennium.

United States also announced measures on midweek against Moscow's two largest energy corporations, the state-owned company and Lukoil, as part of efforts to increase economic pressure on the Kremlin to commence peace talks.

The Russian government launched its major offensive of Ukrainian territory in February 2022. It currently occupies about 20% of Ukraine's soil, including the southern Crimea peninsular Moscow seized in the year 2014.
