During a dominant showing, England wrapped up one more triumph against their opponents, with a number of players producing notable performances on the pitch.

Starting XI

Dean Henderson Not a save to make in the first half until called into action by an opponent's bent shot. His sliding intervention against an Albanian attacker showed his anticipation. 6/10

The debutant Tested against Albania’s main danger in their forward. Started more centrally early on but moved wider once Saka entered the fray. 7/10

John Stones Pushed forward when in possession, something he's known for previously. At times lacked urgency when carrying play and the experiment abandoned after the break. Six

The tall defender A nuisance on corners and free-kicks, per usual, perhaps is another option for his teammate at the back as opposed to his partner. One wayward ball after the break almost led to the first goal from the visitors. 6

Nico O’Reilly One more confident display from the rising star following his first cap against another side. Saka did not capitalize on the most of a gorgeous backheel behind their defense. The left-back spot looks secure at this stage. Seven

The newcomer A debut start with the national team. A bit sloppy in possession but his whipped deliveries were a threat. A handy tempo-setter for the manager to have against defensive opponents. Booked for a poorly timed challenge. 6/10

Declan Rice Set-pieces from dead balls and free-kicks created chances. Was given license to roam in left midfield yet found himself in an offside position as the pass came with a chance to score. Awarded a merited rest around the 60-minute point. 6

Jude Bellingham Functioned in a high role out wide and also put in the hard yards. Demonstrated flashes of quality but dragged an attempt wide. Replaced late on by a teammate, a fellow player, after receiving a caution. 7/10

The winger Had the team's best chance of the first half, his effort excellently kept out from the opposing goalkeeper. As a teammate holding position, he had to stretch the play down the right side but his crosses from wide areas were inconsistent. Substituted late in the match. 6/10

The captain The match-winner scoring two more goals for his country. The opener a trademark poacher’s finish and his next an excellent header following a clever run away from the opposition. Now 32, his form is unwavering and England stand a real opportunity in the upcoming tournament with him leading the line. Eight

The attacker Had difficulty to make an impact from the left. Had a good opening when set up from a teammate yet the keeper denied him. His replacement had a greater an impact after coming on. Five

• Saka (on for Eze at the 63-minute mark) Spurned chances although his set-piece led to the opener, 6
• Marcus Rashford (replacing the attacker with 15 left) Energetic after coming on and provided the captain's brace with a brilliant delivery to the far post, Seven
• Elliot Anderson (for the midfielder in the 75th minute) Seems settled already, 6/10
• Rogers (replacing the star 84) Not enough time to make an impact, 6/10
