Devoted fans of the pop star are calling for that a man who breached a fence and touched the performer during the recent Wicked: For Good premiere be detained or removed from Singapore.

A widely shared footage depicts the individual from Australia bypassing media personnel and rushing toward Grande while the actors made its way down a promenade surrounded by supporters.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo immediately guided the stunned star away from Mr Wen, who was observed being removed of the event by guards.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "free after being detained", though official papers showed that he was set to attend court on Friday morning. It is unknown if he was charged.

History of Incidents

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Troll Most Hated", has crashed a performance. His Instagram account contains videos of him disrupting other celebrity events, including breaching the performance area at Katy Perry's Sydney performance in recently and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers event in the area last year.

"Measures must be taken applied against him as this is evidently a legal violation," commented an Instagram user, in a response to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his act.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" one Instagram user questioned.

Fans Show Disapproval Over the Star's Safety

Numerous supporters blamed Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had revealed dealing with trauma-related anxiety after a suicide bomb attack at the end of her May 2017 concert in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and injuring many.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" commented another message on Instagram.

Several attendees also questioned event staff at the Thursday event for not being vigilant enough; while some called for digital services to remove Mr Wen's videos.

Aftermath and Premiere Information

In videos spreading on the internet, Grande looked surprised when she was approached by the man. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen comforting her while Mr Wen was escorted away by guards.

Grande has not commented on the event, and the premiere activities carried on uninterrupted.

Hundreds of attendees had assembled in a crowd of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good regional launch in a Singapore shopping center, including a number who had stood in line for as long as eight hours before it started.

The movie, to be released on November 21, is the sequel of a two-part adaptation of the acclaimed theatrical production Wicked, which focuses on the unexpected friendship between two very different sorceresses.

The show itself is a adaptation of the 1900 story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the good witch Glinda, was dressed in a light pink sparkling outfit at the premiere while Erivo, who plays the villainous character, wore a elegant ensemble embroidered with roses.

They were alongside fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the highest-grossing movie of 2024 in the UK, and received 10 award recognitions, winning a pair for best costume and artistic direction.
