The center's head, a ex-Amazon UK executive, confirmed that nearly eighty separate studies at the 440-staff institute have been terminated, transferred out or finished because they do not align with the revised strategy.

The organization has faced organizational challenges since last year as staff protested against restructuring, culminating in a team of staff members filing a whistleblower complaint to the appropriate oversight organization.
